Actually I'm suppose to be typing out my Renaissance essay for the moment, as it is due on the 9th of June...But, I suppose I'll upload something after so long.
And this is really a very overdued post...since I went to luo dong on the 14th and the 15th of May. Nevertheless, its an update!

14/05/10 Friday.
After my Manchu language lessons. Sat the train to Luo Dong with Song Ya. All my other classmates & CO already reached Luo Dong 'cos they are not taking Manchu language which means they don't have exams like every friday.

After an hour or so we reached Luo Dong, went to join our friends at the famous Luo Dong night market. Took a photo with Peter. I look freaking ugly.

After we were through with the night market, its turn to pick keys because some of us know how to ride motor bikes and some of us can only sit on it. Hmm. I got Peipei's key (he's a guy from Physcial therapy...and there is a LONG LONG story about the 2 of us by the way.) And so I'm riding his bike.

The thing about motorbikes is that you look really stupid and ugly with the helmet.

We rode back to the place we're staying, and I stupidly ( I think I've gone at least like 100 times more stupid than I was back in Singapore) burn myself...and I was rushed into the toliet and have to go through the ice pack thing and all. Peipei is holding the ice packet for me.

After all these nonsense we ride up to Fo guang University, rumored to have a perfect night view up there.

Ian keep insisiting that my finger nails look as if it's got poisioned.

Due to the fact that my classmate who is also a Singaporean is studying in taiwan with me and he is recently very concerned about weightage problems, I saw this.
I could just see how pathetic and short-sighted this grandmother is. Quoting my friend,"education is suppose to teach us to over come obstacles". So now the fact that because you are not doing well, the government is suppose to cut it. Come on, there is no such thing as if you work hard enough you will not score well. If I can work my maths from F9 to C5 in 1 month, I don't see why can't her grandchildren work their C to A.
Its the fact that they are not working hard enough. Blame it on yourself that you are just not good enough and NOT blaming on the subject that is not good enough. In this case, shall we not learn anything at all, because many people suck at their maths, or their science, so MOE should help us all by cutting them. Oh well, then why are we going school for? Shall we just go to univeristy because its more specialised?
"Our education system should recognise a pupil's strength, not penalise his weakness". Oh well, then you should complain on the whole education system then, because for the whole of my life, the education system is screwing on my weakness because I suck at all subject that needs maths. And NTU looked at my results in IT and totally ignored my writing talents and denied my application. RECOGNISE MY STRENGTH? No, I don't think so.
But I accpet and face the fact that the education system is indeed this way. And that I am just not good enough with my pathetic 2.95 GPA, and there are people with much better GPA than me. It doesn't matter whether if they wrote as good as me or have a as strong fundation as me. It doesn't matter because this education system sees grades and I accept the fact.
So this grandmother, BOO-HOO. Please go home and cry okay. It's just because your grandson is not good enough, and having a grandmother with such a view just shows that in future the least he would care to learn chinese.
And please don't worry that he will go out of singapore to pursue his studies and never come back, because he won't. When he go overseas, he would be laughed at the fact that he is a chinese but couldn't even do well for his MT and he would lose to those damn hardworking students from china, who excel in both language.
Don't worry, I can just see how his future will be.

And if the MOE do cut the weightage, then I feel sorry for our next generation. Bilingual system will fail, and no more proud singaporeans can say that we excel in both language.
BTW, more than half of the people here speaks excellent english. What more can singaporeans offer in future in the international market?

It's his 22th today(since its already over 12a.m.), but we're having a dinner on the 15th due to mid term exam reasons and blah blah, so at 1 I started baking cake for him.

My bf is turning 22 on friday.
And I'm baking cupcakes for his birthday~!
Going to make 9 that writes 徐启得22生日快乐on thursday for him, because we're celebrating his birthday on thursday due to mid terms exams concerns.

Actually I thought of blogging about the Alazea festival since its such a big thing in my school, but a) I guess some of you already saw the photos on my facebook and b) I have not yet got the pictures from all my friends yet, so I shall blog about the supper that happened in my dorm tonight hahaha.
Brought the chicken over from the guy's dormitory since my bf there got 3, because for the simple fact that the chicken is SO NICE and so cheap!! It cost only NT$99 (to convert to sing dollars, divide by 22) for the whole chicken! And its simply delicious.
So we waited till 10.50pm plus for all my room mates to come back, and the we brought the poor chicken to its faithful place, the cooking area at my dorm.
Recipe for already made wonderful and delicious chicken:
(Credits to my bf's roomie for he cook the chicken this way when I first ate it and pass the recipe to me)
a) mircowave 2 mins to defrost.
b) throw it into the oven for 10 mins. Remeber to pre-heat the oven
And here it is, inside the small oven that is even too cramp for it's existence
And while the chicken bakes, we started to cam whore

And after 10 mins, the chicken finally came out. Even though its chao-da (because of the fact that the oven is too small so that it's sides are cramped at the metal parts where it heat up) its super nice and it smells so damn delicious. And the whole area+2nd floor corridor is filled with the chicken smell, I'm sure they must be cursing us to let them smell such delicious smell but yet no chicken to eat man.

And taking it out carefully because the plate is like about...5 times smaller than the size of the chicken

And almost immediately, we begin tearing the chicken apart, and I think within like 15 mins or so, the chicken went to bones. I wanted to share with my course mates so parts actually, but the chicken is just to nice...

Okay its time to update.
Actually this post is suppose to be all that happened on Sunday when I went to sing K and set off sky lantern, but then since I haven't get pictures from my other friend for the lantern festival that we went yet, so shall just combine that time when I also went with my boyfriend to the latern festival together with Sunday photos.

I'm back in taiwan for like 1 week already ( or should be ONLY).
My bf came to pick me up from the airport with his parents car (NOT his parents) and then he gave me like val presents as shown below...

New semester resolutions

It's going to be a new semester soon, in less than a month. Actually it's about 3 weeks before the new semester. May seem long but actually it's quite short.

Guess I shall need a new sem resoultion so that I won't get flunked again.

New sem resoultions:

1) Study more and study more and STUDY MORE!!!!

Well, to be exact, I shall study at least 2 hours everyday, shall add on with the time when sem proceeds.

2) Eat Less and become thinner.

I need to be at like 49kg!!! I can't stand myself being FAT anymore!!! I mean I used the whole half of last year to get myself to 52kg, and now I am like....5Xkg(where X equals to more than 2 but less than 9)! It's ONLY been 4 months. I need to LOSE FAT!

3) Engage with 杜鹃花节 and perhaps the camp for next year year 1s~!

I think it's really a honor that I have been appointed the 副总召 for 杜鹃花节, which is such a major event in my school. And I heard what the 美宣 senior had in idea for this year's theme. It is just fantastic!!!! He really rocks man! I need to WORK HARD so that I can prove that I am able to take up this kind of jobs! (after all, the job was not orginally for me) Due to the fact that I came back for winter holidays, I can't participate in the 文艺营 this sem, therefore, I DO want to participate in the camp for next year~!!!

4) Earn some money~!!!

By whatever way. So that I can be rich for a while, and I no need to keep spending on my parents' money. I am turning 21 this year. And I think it's time for me to be a more responsible adult.

5) Make new friends and keep in touch with singapore friends~!

I will have new modules next semester, so hope that I am able to make new friends along the way (not that I don't like my current friends, just that I like to have a wide circle of friends). And OF COURSE must keep in touch with my darlings here!

6) Play hard too.

I AM IN UNI!!!! Therefore, I need to play. ha-ha.

7) Still be with my current boyfriend.

LOL. Do I look like the type that will always change boyfriends? YES OF COURSE man!! haha (luckily he knows nothing about this blog) If some guy appears and treat me better than him and more cuter than him, I will run after that guy!!! If not~ I guess I will just stick to him. lol.

First shall update on my first Christmas out of Singapore! On Christmas eve brought sweets for everyone in my class ( too little of Festive season feel here ) and then had dinner with my boy friend.

Long time no update, so thought that I should for the moment since there is something on my mind.

Life is still great though, I had 2 christmas party this month (regert not dragging my closet over here), and is considering about the third one now. But if I go to the 3rd one it will leave me no time for my boyfriend over christmas. I think I will see how it goes, since there is still some time for me to consider.

Recently I've been thinking bout friendship stuff. Not with you girls in singapore of course, in fact, I think we are all still keeping up a healthy relationship. I still web cam with Jill the other day and we nonsensed for almost like 3-4 hours. Missed supper. That's not the point haha.
I wonder bout the relationship I keep up with my current friends and uni and wonder if that's really healthy. It's like for some of them, or rather one of them, that its like I feel (or maybe I'm over sensitive?) that she is slowly spacing away from me. But like for a reason I don't know. Sigh. I mean I use to be very close to her.
But then, that's just the starting of the school, and the class is barely with each other for a semester, and in fact we are just with each other for like 3 months. As time goes on, there will be more stuff popping out and people will start to choose more carefully. The cliques in the class will change or maybe even people will quarrel and stop talking to one another.
Isn't that life?
And isn't that what the society is? And we are living in a place like this.

First outing out of Taipei

Went to Hsiuchu (my boyfriend's home town) with him on Thursday and skipped the Friday lesson (since only got 2 periods~and its after mid terms!)
Supper for the night!
Sometimes I felt that I am really really the luckiest girl to be his girl friend. I mean, I rarely do anything for him, but that night when I was at his house, he brought the light that will project stars. And then he plug there without me knowing. So when I wanted to sleep I off the light and then I saw the celling....

Super touch okay...(PS: its suppose to be more pretty but then my cam cannot capture) and then after that I got ask him how he know I like starry skies (in fact, those of you who know, my celling in singapore is filled with stars, only half drop off already), and then he says :
Because I am using my heart to like you (originally he says: 我喜欢你是真的花了心思). And I'm like, even if he did nothing, what else more can I ask for in a relationship?
And then Friday we went out to Tao yuan. In his car, I mean, his parents' car.

He is the most touching guy I've ever met.
He actually set off fireworks in my school just for me.
and I was just too dumbfounded when the fireworks ended and I DIN TAKE A SINGLE PHOTO!!!

The decision

Sometimes I wonder if I really made the right choice.

I told the physics senior I like him and he returned my feelings
Just that we never really interacted.
I have no idea that in personality if we are suitable for each other.

Yesterday when my bf pressed on for my decision
I did not know what to tell him.
And then he told me that he will choose for me
He said that he choose to let me go.

At that very moment, I suddenly realise that he's like super important to me
that I don't want to leave him
And so, I told him that okay, I'll choose him.

I've re-thought everything during the day today
I know that I still regret
that if I hadn't choose him, perhaps that .... things wouldnt be in this way
perhaps I will be sad but not for long
perhaps I will recover and end up happily ever after with my physics senior.

Just that,
now all of this will not happen.
Because I made the choice

I know that I totally sucked but who cares.

Just barely minutes after I told Mr Xu( my current bf) my decision, Mr Sonic suddenly became very good to me. As in he totally changed he's attitude (not that before he wasn't good to me, just that before he felt far, now he felt near), maybe it was because of the meeting in the afternoon and everything.

Just another short update.
me at the dorm...turned cold so can wear things that are not so thin any more!

Shall begin with the shuai ge in my ballroom dancing class!!

On Fri night he brought me to this place in Taipei...very nice at night! But for the fact my handphone had very low mega pixels, so you cant really see the beauty of it. But do try to feel it LOL

Actually, the long I interact with him..the longer I don't know how to come to a conclusion.
By him I mean my current bf-in-uncertainty Mr Xu.
I mean he's so nice to me and everything, and I got sick and had fever today and he went to buy chicken soup and dinner and medicine for me. How can I not be touched. Not to mention he is always taking very good care of me and all those stuff.
But does that nessearyily mean that I am liking him?
I have no idea.
But I do have to admit, he is so husband material. I would be a fool to let him go.

Life in school is great. I believe I don't need to say anything anymore about that. HAHA. But I don't bring camera to a school that I will be staying during the next 4 years, so this friday, finally brought camera out because of a classmate's birthday.

And then we had breakfast together in the morning. The birthday girl is xiao qiao, on the most left corner nearest to the cam, then song ya, rou jun, a ji and of course me!

And that roughly ends the morning, then later at night we had a "family" dinner (this is a standrad system in taiwan that enables your seniors to take care of juniors), and we went to this very nice pasta house near my school that sells very nice pasta and its like so super cosy there! Although a bit ex (10sing dollar for pasta+drink+soup+bread), but quite nice!

Saturday (03/10/09) Mid atumn festival

Went out with classmates that are still staying in taipei. We went to wu fen pu (yet again) and then I got eat the chicken chop there (turns out chicken chop in taipei all very nice) and also they have sweet potato fries! Damn nice!!

And then after that we came back to gong guan (my school area call this name) and had the famous mango strawberry ice! DAMN NICE okay~ Althought it cost like NT $130 (roughly Sing $6.50)

For those who have been following my facebook....I'm sure that you all noticed that my relationship status is no longer "single" (it's not plural either. LOL I know this is like super cold). It's been turn to "it's complicated" for a simple reason, I am currently, half-attached.

The reason of I am half and not fully attached is that I'm not really sure if I like him. It's more like just dating to see if it worked. Ya, ya I know this is fast, I mean, counting today, I've only been in Taiwan for like 21 days. That is lesser than a month.

And why am I half attached to my senior (Who is one year older than me) is because mostly partly also my fault. It's a joke that totally backfired...ON ME. Ya anyways, we're going to try till nov after my birthday to see if we are really suitable for each other, so if we are, I'm going to be attached by then (not at all excited bout the idea, I'm more interested in the physics senior who is younger than me actually), so by the time you girls really come and find me it's going to be a totally different story.

Finally blogger had turned normal for me, so I'm able to upload some photos! Haha!
Anyways, shall begin with very overdue photo. We meet up one night after work, to chill and eat and eat! Haha.
Met up with Jill first at Ion And then sharon join us for a short while before she went to her cell groupAfter that met up with cherie at Clarke Quay for dinner. Only mine was so delicious hahaha . And then Sharon is done with her cell group so she joins us and we went to indo-chine.
One last group photo! After that we went for theowchow porridge before we head back home. Felt very bloated and fat hahaha.

So after this bascially I'm in more for goodbyes since I'm leaving. Meet up at Carousel for a last "formal" meal before I go off. I felt that the food over there is really over rated, because except for appertisers(sushi, sashimi, sandwich and salad), others are so normal, and the varitey is SO little. Even lesser than the line.

Murderer

This post is specially requested by Cherie. Originally it's a chinese version, with a word count of 1,736.

This post is spoiler-included. If you decide to watch but have not watch yet, please skip this post.

I would not really think much about most movies after the show itself, but Murderer is totally different. When I walked out with S and B, all our faces are pearly white, because of the impact the movie left us with.

The movie lasted for 2 hours, in which the process is filled with elements of surprise, lots of violence and gore, it kind of totally impacted my visual senses. Frankly speaking, I was very surprised that MDA didn't cut any part of it. Well perhaps with the cutting, the movie wouldn't end up so nice. Before the start of the movie I already knew that Aaron Kowk would not be the muderer. Therefore, since the starting of the movie, I keep guessing who is the real muderer, from A Gui (his buddy in the movie) to Ling Guang (Aaron Kowk's role in the movie)'s wife Xi Ai, until in the end, I begin to doubt whether if Aaron Kowk himself was the real muderer. For this, I really should clap for the director and the script writer.

However, slowly with the progress of the movie, I'm able to guess who is the real "murderer" (in fact both me and B got it). I saw online that some people say its unlogical, but if they really watched the show carefully, they will find out that whoever could be this close to touch Ling Guang's things, could only be his adopted child Zai Zai. I guessed the muderder correctly , but I got the motive wrong. I could totally understand the motive, but in my personal opinion, I think that Zai Zai's sickness is too overboard. It's kind of unreasonble (PS, I just checked out on the sickness mentioned in the movie, they do age, but only shows on their face.).

I think that the whole story is really well plotted, as every clue and every detail leads on to the next, espcially the ending, it escapes the cliche "good winning bad" ending. And the ending part, Ling Guang protected his sister by not answering anything to her questions. He'd rather she will be sad, rather that she loses all her faith in him than to tell her the truth. He cried. To me, that was desperation, that was the only thing he could do to protect the only family he left with; that was love, and it was also the last thing he could do for his sister.

But no matter how good the story is, there is always flaws in it. For example the "never-get-old" sickness, they exaggerated the real sickness. And for example why did the guy with the "get-old-earlier" guy want to help Zai Zai to this extent? That was simply too vague. Also, they did not really explain how the 3 victims were killed, is it because of any time limit?

I think one of the reasons why the movie left such is big impact is because that it's meaning does not only stop on the surface.

For example, we will discover that in this world, if you told too much lies, if there were too much rumors, we will start to believe that is the truth, even if its not. Not everyone will be fortunate enough to see the real truth. That was the reason why A Gui started to suspect Ling Guang, that was also why Ling Guang's sister doubted him in the end. That is also the reason why I don't think Zai Zai is the "muderer", because right from the start, his role was the person that played with everyone's emotions. He understand how exactly the human mind and emotion worked and he held on to your weakest part and attack on it. I have to say that I'm totally impressed that there is this kind of human---having such a deep thinking and a cruel mind.

Another thing we can see is that when Zai Zai was confronted in the balcony, he claimed that he did not kill anyone, it was all by Ling Guang's own choice. And I agree. Ling Guang did not need to kill A Gui at all, but he killed him nevertheless. This was his own choice, and it only can speak out the fact that he was a weak human, and the fact that once we get caught in our own weakness, we are so easy to be manipulated. If Ling Guang did not wanted so desperately to get a promotion, he could have told his bigger boss that he lost his gun. But he understands that if he were to do it, he could have totally lost his chance of promotion. Human desire is a very scary element, it is also the biggest weakness, the easierst point to be made use of. Zai Zai knew this well enough to put up such a show, to make everyone believe him and to turn Ling Guang from a innocent victim to a real muderer. In the last part, when Ling Guang found out that his wife is dead, he kill A Meng without any hesitation. Because his dear wife and child, which is his last faith, his last support that maintained his rationality, will never come back. He was totally desperate, and so he made his choice.

The last Aaron Kowk movie that I watched was Para Para Sakura, that was like so many years ago. After this movie, I really have to say that after so many years, his acting skills improve drastically. Which just one small action he can express the totally nervousness in he's heart. When he was near crazy, he really do look as if he is. When he knew that his' wife was killed, he cried so sadly that I want to cry with him. I think that if he won the best actor with this flim, I would not be even slightly surprised. The other surpise was the little kid. Although the voice over was so fake, but the eyesight he throws at the camera really make me feel that he was not just a kid, but a shrewd and mature grown up.

At the ending, the chief of the police force discover from the photo that Zai Zai was in the picture, then the scene turned to him standing at the balcony (And from my understanding) looks like he was wating for someone. Ling Guang was in the asylum, and he craved 4 (chinese) words with a branch. It was "go out for revenge". In the very last scene, Zai Zai was sitting on a rock and watching the sea, but his make over was totally different. This all (to me) hinted that there might be a next follow up. I anticipate to whatever the director and the script writer will bring us.

After writing so much, my conclusion is that muderer is one good movie I've seen in many year's time (although with flaws, but every movie has its flaws), so, if you're free, please do watch it.

Started work for a while already, and then meet with with many different suitations including(for those who know) calling to the president's office, and meeting up with freaking rude staff, dont know how their parents teach them one, and call like 100 plus companies a day till my throat sore, and only like what, 10+replies?
Went out with huiqi after work on friday to watch harry potter, which turns out to be another disappointment, thanks to the infamous David Yates who din know how to even shot a flim properly.
And then took some photos.
Yesterday meet up with Jill Sha and Cherie. And then after that we shopped around vivo and then Jill left early to attend friend's party, and then the rest of us had dinner.

Despite everything that happened, still manage to catch up with my Princesses a bit! On Saturday night after work(was still working then) went out to meet up with Jill and Cherie in town. After walking around for a while and then so late liao so Jill drove us to Bukit Timah to have some supper!
And then we went to Al alazzar(spelling off like again) and had a feast! Haha. I ate so much. The steak so damn freaking nice, I am certaining going back for that again.

After supper got very bloated, so we walked around the nice houses again and took some photos.

After that Jill drove me and Cherie to my house (Cherie staying over because no more bus for her) and that concludes the day....I mean, the supper.

Ya I know this is like a freaking Long title for a entry today, but nevertheless since I'm like super pissed off and I don't care about the consquences so just be it then.
Well, as we all know, I was working at N*H, the hospital that is afflicted(is this the correct spelling? But I don't care, I never get my spelling right anyways) to a university in Singapore. Anyways, today I got retrenched. Or better known as, fired, aka 炒鱿鱼. And you want to know the reason?
The reason of why I am retrenched is because :
Due to the fact that H1N1 has already begin spreading in the community, we found hiring so many people redundant, and therefore to cut manpower we need to dismiss you. As students cannot make a long term commitment, thus you're on the top of the list.
And guess the hours I'm given notice to be dismissed.
5 hours in advance.
Simply great. N*H is such a prefectly responsible hospital. So perfectly responsible that they refuse to disclose which wards the H1N1 paitents are kept and watch children playing right outside those wards. So perfectly responsible that they don't allow people working in front of those wards to wear mask because they say will scare the visitors away, while saying this, don't they give a damn about whether if the staff will kena or the visitors will kena too? So prefectly responsible that if the visitors get freaking nasty like flip our table or write complain letter the HR will just let them do what they want? Then what's all these fucking rules for? So prefectly responsible that they are firing us because the spread has begin in the community?

Great. This is just perfect.
My fellow friends and whoever is reading this blog, this is what a hositpal with a slogan for preparing for the future medicine offers you.
Well in that case I don't see any future in medicine for us all then.

Today went out to meet up with Ups (Jia le, Jie Ming and Hui Qi). But then Hui Qi overslept and then didn't turn up, so in the end 3 of us went for lunch. We had pepper lunch and also shared with each other bout recent happenings in each other's lives haha. Long long time never see them. I think the last time when we met up was like...for Jiale 3 mths and Jieming very long liao haha. Jia le is as beautiful as she is and then Jie ming rebonded her hair again! Haha, I like your bangs.
So did some catching up and then walked around shop shop. I brought some stuff...spent like quite a long again = =! At this case I am never going to save any money.

This is the part 1 entry to Jill's 20th birthday celebration post. Because I haven't get the pictures from her and I don't want to upload it then (will take me damn long because alot of things to arrange) so I will just post what I got from my camera first.

Anyways, we meet up at Clarke Quay, and then Cherie and Sharon was late! Haha. Went to check out Ma Maison where Cherie recommanded who was recommaned by her friends i think, and then went to sit there like damn early haha. More detail bout that when the photos come from jill.

Recent happenings!

Well, recent updates! Its so much better to update in a while so got more things to write? Haha, but it also gets very hard to organise the pictures!
Firstly on 9th, which is like last last Sat, we finally meet up! Went to soup spoon for lunch and Cherie passed us the presents she brought from her Genting trip!

After that Sharon joined us and then we went to see the Kang Xi emperor together...had some fun taking photos at outside. But once we go in the exibition hall, there is no photography allowed. And therefore...no photos of Kang Xi....

And then we went to bugis after that. So while waiting for the bus, which was like damn long! Cherie and me took photos! After that Jill, me and Sharon cont to shop for a while and we went to dinner, in hunger...but no dinner for me! I'm on diet! HAHA. Okay, I AM the weight watcher...!

And on 11th, Monday, a few days before I started work, woke up early by ee hui's sudden sms call me go out eat Mac breakfast! Haha, then after that we went to city hall to see my agent first then go shop. After that chill at TCC. We throw the big foot chewy candy inside my drink! Lolz. Have so much laughter with her!

The day ended in fun of course! So nice meeting up with her. I don't know why how come we always got like so much to laugh about. But then people say laughing is good for health haha.

And then on 13th, Wednesday started work. They have a rule at my workplace, which is....NOT suppose to blog ANYTHING bout work so I'm not saying anything.....but anways I just wanna say got eye candy at my work place. Haha. And this is when I'm bored....

And yesterday, which is 17th the Sunday. Went out shopping with S and B at Tampines....Uniquelo is like such a disppointment...but the scraf there is quite nice though. Didn't take any photos unitl the end of the day...at our usual place of course...

I have a dream last night.
I dreamt of Mr D.
In my dream, he was holding my hand. He provided me with such warmth.
But nostalgically, I use to dream of bear in my dreams holding me. I mean, that was the reason why I even liked him in the first place.

I still miss bear after so long.
But Mr D........ I'm not sure.

Speaking of dreams. I am finally going to pursue my dream
I have offcially gotten the letter from National Taiwan University, the top university in Taiwan and one of the top universities in the world.
After so long, I am finally going to learn something that I really love.

Okay, here is what it goes. I came back and saw NTU letter posted to my house. With not much anticipation (for those who know, I was forced by my mum to apply for NTU) , I opened the letter. With much surprise, it was a rejection letter. Well there was when all my anger suddenly flare up man.
I am now fully conviced that ANY SINGAPORE SCHOOLS, no matter of which level of education, only look at your results. Your results and nothing else.
I have many friends with really good results choose to go countries like US, UK and Canada rather than to stay in Singapore. Even local teachers I had told me that they rather send their children for overseas education. I don't really understand last time but now I could easily see why.
Quoted from the letter they gave me (which I think is pretty much the same as they send to everyone else. If not it would be very tiring to type a different letter each.):

"Dear Miss Zhang
[ minus all the crap and the usual words they say]
We have thoroughly reviewed your application but regert to inform you that you have not been successful in your application. I would like to assure you that the University Admissions Selection Committee has considered your application to the fullest extent before arriving at this difficult decision.
I would also like to take this opportunity to wish you the very best in your quest for a quality University education.
With best wishes."

Okay let's all talk frank. I am applying for chinese studies, not degree in IT. Why don't instead of all this crap, you just say : " oh we're sorry that your GPA of 2.95 was horrible and it was not acceptable in our school, I'm sorry, but please go find somewhere else."
So what if my GPA is 2.95? I don't deny its a lousy GPA, but hey, I'm not having a 2.95 for chinese. I'm having a 2.95 for IT, which is something I totally don't get. Most importantly, I send in everything to prove how good my chinese is. So, if really as it was said in the letter that they review everything else, then I would have felt even MORE INSULTED.
It's you're telling me my chinese wasn't good enough to qualify for a school that is ranked 193 in terms of arts and humanties? I AM SO DAMN INSULTED.
So this means that NTU rather take someone who's chinese is like worse than me but have a high GPA in terms of school? Fine then. Suit yourself. It's the school's lost. That's probably why the reason that NTU could have never ranked better.

Oh, by the way, and thanks for the wishes in quest for a better University education, that's why I'm going Taiwan. Because I don't see any "quality" even in admissions in your school.

Went to watch 17 again and Knowing with Hui Qi today.
Okay...I have to say, both of the movies were totally out of what I had expected before I went in the cinema.

*May contain spoilers below this part. Read only if you don't mind*

Okay shall start with 17 again first, because didn't have too deep of impact on me. Haha. Okay, the story was cliche. Main charater did something, regert on something, wanted to go back and do what he wants, the correct way he believes.
Well, I had expect some of the cliche parts, but what I thought would have happened is that the main character Mike O'Donnell (Zac Efron) is going to travel back in time to when he was 17...BUT, the real thing was that he turned to 17 NOW. As in currently. Then you know, all those cliche things, he was a failure, and now he want to turn things right, and they were turned right. end of story.
And I want to say, Zac Efron is really really freaking...HANDSOME!!!!
And the person who played as older Mike O'Donnell is really really freaking.....Ugly.

Then Knowing.
Well, I have to say, I have so been looking forward to the movie because of the really nice trailer. Sci-fri. You know, my best loved genre. But the movie turns out to be....well, you know, quite a big disappointment for me. I mean, what's with all the alien stuff. And the tree of knowledge, garden of eden, admn and eve. Mixing science with religious basis. It's like trying to put a dog head on a human. There is no focus. No point. I mean. I understand the law of physis about the theory of determinism like how everything happens for a reason, and about randomisim like things were just randomly happening and we think it as coniscidence.
Well, in the end Nichloas Cage finally believes in God (his dad was a Pastor). But to think of it, he don't really have a choice. Its the end of the world and he could not do anything, and his son was "chosen" to start over while he is not and is not able to. What else could a human do but to believe. Believe in something that is better, that comforts him?
But then, the movie is quite thrilling, there were many scences that really resemble horror movie scenes, I really would suggest that the director could go for horror movies. But then, the parts of science like the solar whatever (kind of forgot the totally scientific term) is actually true. I just saw someone wrote online the movie. If this were true, and all the calculations and predictions were true, then very well 2012 (which is not at all far away from us) could be the "end of the world".
I do believe the theory of determinism, like how everything happened for a reason. Like why earth is exactly that distance away from the sun. However, the thoery of randomisim could have said that any planet in earth's place could have taken place because enviorment causes all of this. As many have already said, the human eye chooses what it wants to see, the human mind chooses what it wants to believe.
I think everything is just cause and consquences. I don't know what theory it is under. But...I out of topic hahaha.

I just want to say, Is knowing(not the movie, but literally the meaning) really good? The tagline for the movie was "knowing is everything". No, I don't think so. I don't want to know. LOLz.

These few days have been going out! On Wed went out with Rachel, actually suppose to meet up Hui Qi too but she got tummy ache. Anyways, we ate and shopped around! I brought t-shirt and shorts for $30 only. hahaha, lalala.
Only took very few photos at the end of the day, like suddenly remember hahaha.
And then today went out with Cherie to watch movie (the name is Love. Some taiwan made movie) after her work. She say she didn't manage to recognise me = =. Anyways, since we are rushing, so we brought kobayashi. Because they quite fast and the food not alot. Haha.
This is mine! Now the rice sticks very nice! Nicer than the rice balls last time.

And then after the show Cherie say that she felt like going somewhere to chill and then we went to Indo Chine (I think spelt like that?) The drinks quite okay and then the band was also quite nice(apart from looks) but then...THE SERVICE SUCKS. THE MANAGAER WAS FREAKING RUDE. We will never go back again!

Today had a exam in the morning, saw a cute guy! And then later in the day meet up with Cherie to do some shopping and to lose fats. LOL. But in the end become gain fats.

We walked around to see shoes at first since Cherie needs them for the grad ceremony which I was not going so I won't be needing anything, but saw alot of sales but none of them seem to raise my attention. Maybe I should pay more attention next time. Anyways, passed Cherie her hard disk and my cuzzie's vest. Since her vest small I can't wear.

And then after that Cherie din have lunch so she keep complaining very hungry and we went to Carl's Jr.!

And then 2 of us shared 1 meal.

Chili beef fries I think. Anyways, Cherie keep complaining she so hungry but in the end still force me to eat so much saying that she full already haha. LOL. Actually I purposely cut the bigger half of the burger give her since I'm like freaking full, but she still manage to force me eat alot of fries.

And after we finished our meal, Sharon came and join us! She wanted to drink each a cup so we went shaw house first, and then after that we went to DFS at the RP aka royal plaza not republic poly there and then look for something. Anyways, Sharon was engerised and in the mood to shop but Cherie and me full and old and tired liao, so sit down take picture. Sorry Sharon!

Yesterday after movies with huiqi, we decide to try out the newly open japanese buffet resturant. Although the price a bit ex but then when we saw the food inside like quite tasty so we decide to give it a try.
Anyways, here's the pictures.
They actually have more variety than that I've shown, but then that time I was really too busy eating than taking photos. They actually had quite alot, apart from all that I've shown you, they have like soups, steamboats (the jap type), tepeyaki with favours you can choose from, edon, chawanmushi...actually I think you can find any jap food in that place. They also had special stuff like special deserts, cold dish, and so on served every hour limited to 30 customers and its quite fun to see people running after it.
However, I would really like to mention 1 incident in the resturant that PISSED me off, is this aunty sitting next table to us.
That time after we took back the food, we found that our table was too small, whereas the 2 tables beside us only had 2 persons sitting (like we do) but both of the tables had 2 table joined together. So when the 2 ladies sitting at the right left with their bags both of us thought that they left and its okay if we shift their table. I mean, if you leave with your bag, people will assume you left right?
Anyways, when we were shifting the table this staff who was walking around and cleaning saw us doing that, so she said, you can't move the tables, because the customer still haven't left...and I was like but i saw they took their bags away, and the staff was like, but the bill is still there. And then that was when the aunty sitting on the left of us came in. Her voice was like dunno how loud and she say, "ya lor, 都还没有走，怎么有你们这种人."
I was like going to turn and tell her FUCK OFF.
Anyways, luckily the staff was understandble and very polite. She immediately talked to the counter (they've got earphones and mic) and ask if we could have the another empty table beside us. And she got us the table.
And after that staff left, that aunty keep staring at us throughout our meal, which was so irrating! She's like the ba po lor. Other people child running around she also tell her husband they should guan guan those kinds, at first I still thought is hers, but when she left with her husband without the kids, then i realise that the kids were really another family one!!!
She was so BITCH*10000. Oh I'm sorry, bitches have much better figure and 修养 than her lor. She's like wearing yellow looking like some 黄脸婆 and then her size was like trice my size. And she's like super kia su OMG.
I can now understand why alot of other country people don't think highly of Singaporeans.
And now, desert is served.
Deserts is also more than that I've shown. They've got this green tea ice cream, and also lots of fruits and cakes and pudding and this really nice and different favour jellys to choose from. I think the place quite good. I like!

Lastly, the buffet cost $42.25. Its really abit ex right? (Espcially I just found out that my account had like less than 50 dollars left) But I think quite worth it for those who can really eat alot. Like when we go, we didn't manage to try everything because was too full. And we only had like 2 cups of drinks, so our liquid comsumption was at its minimum! Well, after I save up, I would like to go there again.
